Roaring Fork Mill
Mill
Overview
Roaring Fork Mill, located in Carbondale, CO, is a family-owned small-batch stone mill sourcing local heritage and ancient CO grown grains. Our millstones grind at a low speed and cool temperature, preserving the nutrient-rich germ and crushing it into the starchy endosperm of the flour. This process spreads oil throughout, adding additional nutrient density and flavor. We're dedicated to supporting a local food system that supports the well-being of our soil, health and communities.
Products & Services
Roaring Fork Mill provides a variety of freshly ground Colorado grown flours to local Roaring Fork Valley restaurants, bakeries and retail stores. Products additionally include bread flour, pastry flour (White Sonora Wheat), all-purpose flour (White Sonora Wheat), and wheat bran. Roaring Fork Mill works with farmers in the Roaring Fork Valley and Western Slope to plant heritage grains (approximately 35 acres will be planted next season). Currently, Roaring Fork Mill sources my grains from small farmers in the front range. In addition to freshly milled flour, Roaring Fork Mill upcycles spent beer grains and makes Graham Crackers, Wheat Krispy treats and dog treats.
