Ranch
What the Flock Ranch is our little family-run farmstead tucked into Cañon City, Colorado. Life here is lively — from the clucks and calls of our mixed flock of poultry to the playful energy of our Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. In the gardens, we grow seasonal vegetables and herbs, while inside we keep the farm buzzing year-round with trays of microgreens and a colorful variety of mushrooms, both culinary and functional.
For us, farming has always been about more than just food. We believe in taking care of the land and letting it take care of us in return. That means practicing true regenerative methods, where nothing goes to waste if we can help it. Most of our own byproducts are recycled right back into the farm, and we even step into our community’s waste streams to give those materials a second life. It’s our way of turning challenges into resources — building healthy soil, supporting biodiversity, and creating abundance from what others might throw away.
What the Flock Ranch is a mix of tradition, innovation, and a whole lot of heart. We’re proud to raise food that connects people back to where it comes from — honest, flavorful, and grown with care.
Our harvests find their way onto tables across the community — from local restaurants that feature our mushrooms and microgreens, to farmers markets and families who want fresh, honest food they can feel good about. We love sharing what we grow, not just as products, but as a piece of the story of our farm and the land that sustains it.
At What the Flock Ranch, we’re not just raising food — we’re raising connections. Every season, every crop, every animal is part of a bigger cycle that feeds us all, and we’re proud to share that with our neighbors near and far.
