Valley Food Partnership
Nonprofit
Valley Food Partnership (VFP) is a non-profit organization serving the Western Slope for 14 years, striving towards our vision of a resilient regional food system that sustains producers, the land, and healthy communities.
With a drive to support the viability of regional farmers and ranchers, we serve at the intersection of local agriculture, food, the economy, and health.
VFP supports producers with education, land access, technical assistance, and events to create connection and support wellness. We also promote soil health practices and provide equipment to lower the barriers for implementation. VFP promotes local food to consumers, and for families with less resources we provide nutrition and cooking education, 3 produce voucher programs, and redirect food waste to partners who provide hunger relief. Lastly, we bridge the gap between producers and consumers through management of the Montrose Farmers Market, value chain coordination, systems level convenings, and community building events focused on local food.
Across all programs, we believe relationships drive change—because local food roots us in place and strengthens our sense of belonging.
