What is the Grain Exchange Marketplace?

The Grain Exchange Marketplace or the GEM is an online marketplace that connects grain growers with grain buyers to further cultivate a regionalized grain economy in Colorado. While the Colorado Grain Chain does not buy or sell grains directly on the marketplace, our members do. The GEM is an online space for buyers and sellers to find each other.

What’s the Grain Bulletin?

The Grain Bulletin is a quick way for growers to advertise which grain they have available for sale and for makers to post which grains they’re looking for.

Why did you create the Grain Bulletin?

Our members asked for a way to share more regular updates with the grain community, so that quick exchange can happen when needed.

How often is the Grain Bulletin updated?

We update the Grain Bulletin every two weeks and post changes to our blog and newsletter.

How often can I be featured in the Grain Bulletin?

There is currently no limit, however, we do limit promotion to 4 consecutive weeks.

What details do I need to include in a post?

Please include details such as grain variety, quantity, and what form you’re looking for/selling (ie. seeds, grains, flour). Also include your preferred contact information.

Who do I contact to post on the Grain Bulletin?

CGC Membership Coordinator Lily Lake handles all Grain Bulletin inquiries. Reach out to lily@coloradograinchain.com.

What if I don’t see what I’m looking for on the Bulletin?

Check the GEM for ongoing grain offerings.
